Obituary for Lenore (Lennie) Ivy Jackman

Lennie (Fausett) Jackman, beloved wife of the late Gerry Jackman, loving mother of the Rev. Margaret & Bob Shortell of Brantford, Barbara Stringer of Bancroft, Cathy Stevens of Prince George, B.C., Linda Rowe of Lakefield, Will & Sarah Jackman of Peterborough and Eric Jackman of Peterborough, lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Mary, Rob, Katherine, Deborah, Sarah, Annie, Kris, Isaiah, David, Amanda, Cory and their families. Lennie is survived by her sister, Carol Goodger-Hill of B.C. and was predeceased by her other sister Doris and by her parents, John Clayton Fausett and Ivy Ellen Townsend.
Lennie resided in Mount Pleasant where she and Gerry raised their family and made their home prior to their retirement to Baptiste Lake in 1988. Despite her busy life, Lennie began studies and training to become an organist, which she aptly accomplished. She was a devoted organist and choir director for 45 years which also included her time as organist and choir director at St. John's Anglican Church in Bancroft. Lennie was also a former member of the North Hastings Community Choir in Bancroft. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. Donations to the charity of choice would be welcomed in Lennie's memory.
