Survived by Myrtle McElroy of Agincourt, Nadeen Sanderson (Ken) of Wilberforce and Allen Andrews (Linda) of Highland Grove. Loving mother to Beverley Cooney (Arnold) of Midhurst, Wayne Lewis (Lorraine) of Coquitlam B.C., Barbara Tomlinson (Mark) of Haliburton, David Lewis (Lois) of Mississauga, Murray Lewis (deceased) and John Lewis (Michele) of Waterloo. Evelyn had a wide range of interests. She was an avid reader and loved the rich old classical works of poetry and enjoyed reciting them from memory. She delighted in gardening, fishing, knitting, crocheting, quilt-making, rug braiding, and worked alongside Harold in the many demands and activities of farming. She was an excellent cook, was never happier than when her family were gathered around, and a place at the table was often occupied by someone(s) who had just dropped by. Evelyn served on the local school board and when her children were in public school and later, on the library board and for some years also drove a small school bus route. She enjoyed being involved with the ladies' group at Harcourt Chapel and taught Sunday school for a time. She is now safely Home and will be greatly missed.
